1 year anniversary!

Well this month has flown by and things have been so busy that I forgot to add details about our next Bits & Pixels meetup.

This month is a little more special than most because it's our 1 year anniversary. It was just over a year ago I suggested to Wayde that we should organise a social get together of Newcastle web designers and developers.

The story so far

The first meeting was held at The Grand Hotel and only Wayde & I showed. I'm guessing that was because we didn't tell anyone else.

Over the next six months meetings were held in many different locations and the attendance increased. After trying a bunch of different venues we decided that the Grand Hotel would become the permanent home of B&P.

Since then we have launched the Bits & Pixels website and our attendance has reached a consistent 15-20 people per meeting, which is fairly decent.

The cake is a lie

Well not this time, what kind of celebration would it be without a cake! Long time listener, first time caller Amanda will be baking a cake for everyone at this month's meetup, so make sure you turn up.

July Meetup Details

Come socialise with other web developer and designers, eat cake and probably drink a beer or two with the Bits & Pixels crew on July 19th at the Grand Hotel around 2pm.
