It’s on this Saturday

It's come up faster than we thought - the September edition of Bits & Pixels. The major event of this month is of course the soft launch of Newism.com.au. "What's a soft launch?" I hear you ask. Well, we're still ironing out some bugs and polishing off some areas, so we haven't started telling everyone on the Internet about it. Leevi has written up an introductory post about Newism and where it's at, titled - Hello World Part 1.
Simply because this is a soft launch of our new website, available to a lucky few including our friends, colleagues and family. We know it’s not 100% complete but it’s coming along nicely, and with a bit more polish it should be ready for general public consumption in the very near future. Until then, here’s the Newism story so far, where we currently stand, and an insight of what we are planning for the future.
Also as a shameless act of self-promotion, I should announce that I have also written a blog post over at Newism. It's an introductory post about myself as the newest member of the Newism team.
We won't talk about Newism the whole time of course, and we'll find other things web-related to chat about, we're just excited about its launch. So I hope we get a big group to come along this Saturday - I know I'm looking forward to getting away from the computer and socialising for a while.
See you all then!
